How to Install Ugnay.ph on Your Device

Install Ugnay.ph as an app on your iPhone, Android phone, or computer for instant access to emergency hotlines — even offline.

Ugnay.ph works like a native app — no app store needed. Installing it adds a home screen icon, enables offline access, and makes loading instant. This guide detects your device and shows you the right steps.

1

Why install Ugnay.ph?

Installing Ugnay.ph adds an icon to your home screen or dock — just like a native app. No app store download needed.

Once installed, the app loads instantly, works offline with cached data, and opens without browser navigation bars taking up screen space.

Installing is especially important for emergency preparedness. When connectivity drops during a typhoon or earthquake, the installed app gives you faster access to cached hotlines.

2

Install on iPhone or iPad

On iOS, you must use Safari — Chrome and other browsers on iOS don't support 'Add to Home Screen'.

What you will see

Open ugnay.ph in Safari

Open Safari and navigate to ugnay.ph. Make sure you're not using Chrome, Firefox, or an in-app browser — only Safari supports home screen installation on iOS.

Tap the Share button

Tap the Share icon in Safari's toolbar — it's the square with an upward arrow. On iPhone it's at the bottom of the screen; on iPad it's at the top.

Select 'Add to Home Screen'

Scroll down in the share sheet and tap 'Add to Home Screen'. You may need to scroll past the first row of app icons to find it.

Tap 'Add' to confirm

Review the name (it should say 'Ugnay.ph') and tap 'Add' in the top right. The icon will appear on your home screen.

3

Install on Android

On Android, Chrome offers the best installation experience with a native install dialog.

What you will see

Samsung Internet also supports 'Add to Home screen' via its menu, but Chrome provides better offline support.

Open ugnay.ph in Chrome

Open Chrome and navigate to ugnay.ph. If you see an 'Install Ugnay.ph' banner at the bottom of the page, you can tap 'Install' directly.

Install from the banner or menu

If the install banner appears, tap 'Install' and confirm. If you don't see a banner, tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right and select 'Install app' or 'Add to Home screen'.

4

Install on Chrome or Edge (desktop)

Desktop Chrome and Microsoft Edge both support PWA installation with full offline capabilities.

What you will see

Open ugnay.ph in your browser

Navigate to ugnay.ph in Chrome or Edge. Look for the install icon in the right side of the address bar — it looks like a monitor with a down arrow.

Click the install icon

Click the install icon in the address bar. If you don't see it, click the three-dot menu and look for 'Install Ugnay.ph' or 'Install app'. Confirm when prompted.

5

Your browser doesn't support installation

Firefox and Safari on macOS don't support installing Progressive Web Apps. You can still use ugnay.ph in your browser, but for the full app experience with offline support, try Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

You can bookmark ugnay.ph for quick access, but only Chrome and Edge offer true PWA installation with offline support and standalone mode.

6

Verify installation

Check your home screen (phone) or app launcher (desktop) for the Ugnay.ph icon.

When you open the app, it should load without the browser's address bar or navigation — this is called standalone mode. If you see the full browser chrome, the app may not have installed correctly. Try uninstalling and repeating the steps above.
